 My PompeiiPainting sc0042 150x180cm approx Oil on canvas As a result of Mt Vesuvius errupting , Pompeii was left under a pile of ash, only to be discovered and excavated early in the 20th century. As I walked through the ancient worn cobbled streets of Pompeii, at the foot of Vesuvius on a freezing day in January 1985, pieces of uncovered bodies, artifacts and parts of buildings, lay where they were discovered.

Painting sc0039 60x90cm approx Oil pastels on paper Ice skating is relaxing and exhilerating for me. I started to skate when I was 21 and still go when I can. This is an oil pastel drawing done directly onto a silk screen. The oil crayon is then pushed through the screen with a solvent jell.

The front doors to Sacre Coure, the church on Monte Martre, are at the top of the many stairs that lead up to it. As I stood at the bottom of the stairs looking up, I saw small snowflakes gently floating to the ground, melting as they landed on the footpath. My first cold snow experience.
